Sunday Salon — January 5
Good morning! And, Happy New Year!
Time: // 9:33 am
The scene: // Snowfall. Pretty, if I don’t think about the need to shovel it off the driveway in frigid temperatures.
Listening to: // A Twelfth Night playlist on Spotify that I just made of the Epiphany sections of Bach’s Christmas Cantatas and Oratorio.
Reading: // The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, the Read Along book for The New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge. I sent out questions yesterday for our first discussion post on Wednesday. It’s a quick read and we’re taking the whole month, so there’s still plenty of time to join us.
Blogging about: // I’m celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas through Epiphany with book lists to support resolutions:
Day 1: Be More Fit
Day 2: Be Happier
Day 3: Be a Better Cook
Day 4: Be Smarter about Money
Day 5: Be More Purposeful and Get Things Done
Day 6: Be More Creative
Day 7: Be a Better Reader
Day 8: Be a Better Writer
Day 9: Be a Better Gardener
Day 10: Be a Better Photographer
Day 11, Be More Visual, will be later today.
After three weeks of bread pudding recipes, I posted my Master Recipe that makes it easy to make these up on the fly with any bread or other ingredients I have around. A great way for using up everything from fruit that’s just past its prime to leftover chicken soup (but not in the same bread pudding).
Participating in: // The New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge.
Looking forward to: // The next Twitter chat for The New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge – Wednesday night 9PM Eastern / 8 Central / 7 Mountain / 6 Pacific / 5 Alaskan / 4 Hawaiian. The hashtag is #WSchat. We had great fun on New Year’s Day so I’m looking forward to more chatting about books, goals, projects, and resolutions.
What are you up to this fine Sunday?
