Dewey’s Read-a-Thon Update 3
The Hour 5 challenge was to answer this question:
What is your favorite “classic” and why? How has that classic impacted your life?
My answer: Little Women. This book gave me a desperate desire to be Jo March, compelling lifelong interests in writing, Transcendentalism, and generally being a tomboy. Also, it gave me a lifelong fear of canning.
Rick wants to go out to lunch. Hmm. That will put a dent in my reading time. But my policy is to say “yes” to that sort of thing and it’s one of my secrets to a successful marriage so off we go. I’ll update again in two or three hours and hopefully have managed a few more pages!
What I’m reading: I gave up on Tribes by Seth Godin and switched to a book on a similar topic that is more concrete and, for me, more inspiring: Influencer by Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, David Maxfield, Ron McMillan and Al Switzler.
