Happy St. Nicholas Day! We don’t do much to celebrate that particular holiday around here, but I’ve always been rather fascinated by it. And, now, I’m wondering how the magical gift-givers around the world keep in shape for the one night of deliveries. In much the same way, I suppose, that I start now to get in shape for gardening in the spring. I need to be flexible and strong to avoid injury — so that means squats and lunges and hamstring stretches through the months of winter.
