  1. This sounds really interesting. Off to see if I can find a copy here. #SundaySalon (And I’m reading Isherwood’s Goodbye to Berlin and it’s remarkably similar to what’s happening now.

  2. When I saw your title, I thought, and they still haven’t learned. What a shame. I can’t believe there are still people like this. Luckily, there are people like you who try to make them aware of their mistakes.

  3. So much of this stuff isn’t as far in the past as one could wish. It’s never looked quite like that in the UK, but for those with eyes to see, it’s never gone away, and it’s a shame that people have wanted to paper over that so badly that they couldn’t see a resurgence — both in the US and the UK. Alas.

  4. I am very interested in reading this book. I have it on my list, but I haven’t run across a copy yet. Maybe I can find it at the library.

    America has often been disappointing in living up to the ideals it was founded upon. We have to remember and reflect upon the bad, I think.
