I’m irked that the Republican president saw Les Misérables last night at the same time as he calls for the American military to fight Americans. I hope that “Do You Hear the People Sing” becomes an earworm for the rest of his life. Today, I’m playing it on repeat until I have it memorized.

I will let the beating of my heart echo the beating of the drums because there is a world I long to see.

That blew me away. They hypocrisy of it all. Did you hear someone asked if he was a Javert or a Jean Valjean and he really hedged. I should think there would be absolutely no hesitation.

I wonder if we’ll be hearing this song tomorrow? We should.
