Back to School Reading Challenge and Wednesday Book Club, Final Post for 2013
Welcome to the Back to School Reading Challenge and Wednesday Book Club! We’re reading books to learn new things. This challenge ran from August 1 to September 30, so this is the final post. Be sure to leave a link for your wrap-up, update, or book reviews. And check back next year for more opportunities to learn from books.
We had one book review last week, my review of a journalist’s well-researched book on the current state of drug addiction in America and how we could handle it better on every level, from individuals, the medical establishment, and public policy: Book Review: Clean by David Sheff.
My Update and our Read Along
Of the original eight books I committed to reading, I finished 5. I still want to finish the two book proposal books, but those are more books that you work through rather than read quickly.
One of the 5 books I finished was our Read Along book, How Children Succeed by Paul Tough. Did you read How Children Succeed? What did you think?
