Readers’ Workouts May 1 — 9 Comments

  1. Joy, my hat’s off to you. I manage a 15-20 workout on my stationary bike every other day and count myself lucky. Also on those days, I do 3# hand weights for arm exercises, but only on those days when my rotator cuffs aren’t screaming. I don’t need any more tears. I do yoga stretches when I can. I’ll never be a model, but with a good eating plan and regular movement, I’m getting healthier.

What more can I ask for at my age?

I’m glad you’re getting into it. I wish I could have stuck to such a regimen during my middle years, and then I wouldn’t have some of the problems I have now.

Kudos for you, Joy! Keep up the great work.

  2. Wow, you did great! Doing exercise consistenly is so uplifting, you can see results and feel so much better (I know because I did it before, but stopped), so I really want to get into it again.

  3. Congratulations on meeting your April goals! That’s really awesome!

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve decided not to participate anymore. Not because I don’t like the meme, but because I participate in way too many memes already. And, I’d like to bring back my Weigh-In Wednesday feature I did on my blog in December and January. It gives me more accountability.

Anyway, thank you so much for putting this meme together! I think it’s great that you’re encouraging readers to exercise! I’ll keep reading and commenting on your progress!

  4. What an interesting and different idea meme. I probably won’t have enough to say to take part every week but it’d be nice to have a little excuse to talk about my new hobby – which is running. They say you catch a running bug – well I caught it in January when I took part in my local running club’s beginner’s course and since then… I’ve loved it. I’m starting to think I might be getting serious about it.

I will take part in this next week perhaps…
