Cherry Blossoms #SaturdaySnapshot
Cherry blossoms, in China and in the US, are a favorite flower for marking spring. Here’s a photo of a flowering cherry I took at the Missouri Botanical Garden a few years ago:
And, here’s a photo I took of the Cherry Tree Arches at the Lantern Festival last month:
Last week, I posted photos of peonies in the Lantern Festival. I have more glowing flowers to share next week! The Lantern Festival continues at the Missouri Botanical Garden through August 23, open nightly and with extended hours some nights.
Check out West Metro Mommy Reads today for more Saturday Snapshots.
Beautiful flower pic and the Lantern Festival looks most interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful — both the actual cherry blossom and the Lantern Festival version. The festival looks like it would be fun to attend.
My Saturday Snapshot post is HERE.
I love cherry blossoms! We have loads of cherry trees her (the town I grew up in, which is about 40 miles south of where I live now, is known as “The Cherry City”) and the blossoms are the official harbinger spring.
Hi!
Beautiful flowers. Have a great day!
Gorgeous! How lucky you are to be in an area that has such events. Will look forward to more flowers.
Beautiful! I visited DC one year when all the cherry blossoms were in bloom – gorgeous!
Hope you enjoyed a nice weekend –
