I got another long day of gardening in yesterday to get me a little ahead of the game on my exercise goals this month. That’s good because we’re expecting rain, on and off, for the rest of the week so I may be scrambling between storms to get in my steps and minutes.
How is April going for your exercise?
Gardening? We still has mounds of snow in shady spots over the weekend. Rain today and 65 degrees later this week will help me transition into spring. I need to start planning the garden. I think I want plant berries this year. Have you tried growing blackberries or strawberries?
My fitness update: I’m running a half marathon mid-May, adding daily light weightlifting for upper body, and am researching yoga studios near home.

I have a couple of blueberry bushes. I have to give them acid every year and if I want to eat the blueberries (instead of feeding the birds), they have to be covered in netting at the right time. But, they are amazingly flavorful. The most intense blueberry flavor ever.
Easter totally threw off my schedule this week.
Sounds like you’re enjoying gardening. Your blueberries sound so good! I’m on track as far as exercising goes. I want to up my miles per day though so I’ll be working on that in the coming weeks.
