Readers Workouts — goals for June — 11 Comments

  1. Just got back from one trip and already planning the next. In the meantime, I’m planning my workouts for June, based on my current schedule which could very well change after this week. We’ll see. I’m optimistic regardless, which is good.

  2. I asked my instructor for some hour-long karate lessons so I can get this 2nd degree brown belt test DONE. It’s going to be an interesting few weeks and my goal is to get 2nd brown by the end of summer. It’ll be my 6th belt out of 8, where the 8th belt is 1st degree black. All I need to do is be pattern perfect on 12 display forms (kata) and 60 self defense techniques…

  3. Good luck on meeting your minutes for June!

Heather posted about using kettlebells and that made me think I need to pull mine out and use them. That’s why I love Readers’ Workout! Everyone’s posts give you inspiration and ideas!!

  4. This is such a great idea. I got a Fitbit and it motivates me to move. I have a pretty active job so it isn’t very hard to hit 7500 steps by the end of my workday. The Fitbit motivates me to go those extra steps and hit 10,000. And I do it while listening to an audio book. Win-win.

    • I love my new FitBit, too. I’m usually aiming for 7000 steps since a lot of my exercise happens in the garden in the summer time and it’s more squatting and stretching than steps. I want to establish a 10,000 step habit next winter.

  5. I don’t really do goals well. I did just order one of those mini-pedal things. I’m hoping it will fit under my desk at work so I can move during the day instead of just sitting here for 7 hours.

My daughter’s schedule is a little different with school being out. I’m still trying to figure out how to fit in my exercise time.

    • It always takes longer than I expect to re-establish routines when the schedule changes a little. I hope you get it figured out!
