  2. I haven’t read this book or the series but I want to. I would love to relive vacation days in Minnesota too. I like the idea of two mysteries interwoven in the book. I’m off to see if my library has this one.

  3. You are exactly right about the beginning of this one (I haven’t put up my own review yet). I wasn’t certain about it, but by my personal cut-off (between 50-75 pages), I was into it. I liked the twists and turns and the personal interplay. Great review!

  4. I had not read the previous books in this series but found this one enjoyable. Raced through it and then sat back to think about it. And found myself wondering (SPOILER ALERT): Why would Lily have hid the baby? She did not think anyone knew where she was. The only people who came and went were those she trusted. Why on earth would she have hid the child? And when would she have had the opportunity? Would she have even understood the threat that the outsiders, as I will call them, posed? I keep wondering about that and wondering if I missed something in the book that explains it.

    • It’s been so long since I read the book, that I don’t remember enough to know if I was bothered by that. Good questions!
