It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
It’s Monday! What Are Your Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila of Book Journey. Be sure to check out her post today to see her selections and the list of links to all the other participating bloggers.
Read
I reviewed two books on the blog last week:
I started and finished Northwest Angle by William Kent Krueger, reading it in just three days. My post will go up on its publication date, which is tomorrow.
I also wrote about my experience of setting up Zotero, a citation management program. It looks like it might be useful to book bloggers and other people with lots of reading material to keep track of: cpd23. Thing 14: Zotero / Mendeley / citeulike.
Reading
I’m continuing to read What to Eat by Marion Nestle, reaching the seafood chapters. Kind of scary, really, the variety of bad things that can be in fish and the precious little anyone seems willing to do to protect the final consumer from those things.
Our next meeting of the YA for Adults Book Club will be at Pudd’nhead Books new location — across the way from the old location. It will be fun to see their new digs. This month’s theme is Awesome Male Voice and our selection is Carter Finally Gets It by Brent Crawford. If you’re in the St. Louis area, check us out! We’ll meet on Wednesday, September 7 at 7:00 pm in Webster Groves next to Racanelli’s.
Will Read
What’s next? I picked up an advance proof of The Winters in Bloom by Lisa Tucker at BEA. The publication date is September 13, so I’ll take a look at that next.
