Book Review: Healthy Family Meals — 13 Comments

  1. Can I come over for lunch?? By the way, I too am lucky enough to work from home so I generally have time to use fresh instead of frozen or prepared foods. But many people do not have that luxury, so I totally understand recipes that try to give busy cooks shortcuts.

  2. I am really enjoying your selection of healthy cookbooks this past month. I know have a good list of cookbooks for my next trip to the library. I also like sweet potato fries but it never occurred to me to use a nice healthy and yummy dip. I can’t wait to try this one.

  3. I love me some sweet potato fries and would love to try this yummy dip. I love the idea of this recipe book-my children love to cook and it is wonderful for families to see how to make healthier choices.

  4. Oooh, just finished the last of my sweet potatoes in my gratin ;D This is definitely something I’ll be making soon. The cookbook sounds great too. There’s actually this TV program in Holland featuring desperate families and their obese children. It immediately came to mind… it is rather sad, as these families could be cooking easy, healthy meals for themselves and their loved ones, but instead resort to eating junk 🙁 If only they had cookbooks like these, maybe they’d understand that “healthy” cooking doesn’t equal “flavorless” or “distasteful”…

  5. Those sweet potato fries look absolutely delicious. @BethFish has inspired me to try my hand in the kitchen – this menu may be next! I love that fries are your main lunch food – I would eat fries for every meal if possible! Thanks for sharing.
