Synopses #BookBloggerHop — 4 Comments

  1. If I know I’m going to read a book, like if it’s part of a series or I already know the basic premise, I don’t bother reading the publisher’s synopsis. Especially with the cozy mysteries I read, I find that they give away too many spoilers. I don’t even like to know who the victim is, so I refrain from putting that information in my reviews. Just like the culprit, I want to be able to try and guess who that will be.

    Have a great weekend. 🙂

  2. I figure the reader needs to know something about the book before I give my opinions on the plot, characters, setting, etc. So I usually write a few sentences of synopsis.

  3. Most of the time I write my own synopsis. Like you, I try not to give away any spoilers, but at the same time — I try to write enough of what happens so that I have a record of the book and what happened for myself. So I can remember the book years from now.
