Sunday Salon for 11 February 2024
Happy Sunday! Sunday Salon is hosted by Deb at ReaderBuzz. Check out her post and the links to see what other bloggers have been up to in the last week.
How’s the weather?
We’ve had a number of warm days and sunny days — not always on the same days! It looks like Friday was the last day we’re going to be over 60 degrees for a while, but many days are expected to be in the 50s, which isn’t bad for February here.
What are you reading?
I’m really enjoying the audiobook of The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. It’s read by Tom Hanks — a wonderful voice to have in my ear on my walks. At first, I had to remind myself that I wasn’t listening to Woody from the Toy Story, but I got over that.
I’m continuing to have a hard time getting myself to read in either print or e-book format. That’s unusual for me, but not unheard of, so I’m going to give it some time to see if it corrects itself.
What are you watching?
I enjoyed the second season of Professor T with my PBS Passport this week, a remake of a Belgian TV series. In the British version, Professor Tempest is a Cambridge criminology professor with obsessive-compulsive behaviors who helps the local police solve murders. According to Radio Times, a third series has been announced — so that’s something to look forward to!
What are you doing?
I’m preparing for an unusually busy couple of weeks with multiple in-person and zoom meetings, a bus tour, and an author event. I’m way out of practice for this sort of thing, but I’ll try to remember to take some photos to share on my blog.
How are you this fine Sunday?
