Sunday Salon for 12 November 2023
Happy Sunday! Sunday Salon is hosted by Deb at ReaderBuzz. Check out her post and the links to see what other bloggers have been up to in the last week.
How’s the weather?
I’m enjoying cool fall weather with sunny days. We still have a few trees holding on to fall color — and lots of leaves to crunch through on my walks. The coming week looks just about perfect with highs in the mid-60s and lows around 40 degrees, for comfy sleeping.
What are you reading?
This was not a good reading week for me, for some reason. Maybe too much time spent watching shows.
What are you watching?
I watched both seasons of the Great British Baking Show: Juniors that are available on Netflix. It’s more inspiring than the show with the adults, because I could conceivably bake a few of these creations. Many of them, though, are still well beyond my skill level.
My British Isles Friday post featured The Boleyns, a docudrama about Anne and her family in Henry VIII’s court. The 491st anniversary of Henry and Anne’s secret wedding is on Tuesday.
What are you doing?
I thought I was going to get a tooth extracted on Thursday, but it turned out that was just a consultation. I was happier about that because I didn’t feel at all prepared. Now, there’s a plan and I understand it. Extraction, wait for healing, implant, wait for healing, crown. Several months and a few thousand dollars later, it will be as good as new!
What are you writing?
After taking a research break the week before, I got back to my novel, playing with plot and characters with renewed energy.
How are you this fine Sunday?
