The Woman Who Smashed Codes #BookReview #NaNoWriMo — 5 Comments

  1. I read this book on Joy’s recommendation, and found it both enjoyable and very educational. There is a wealth of information here that was new to me. I’ve read scores of books about the world wars, and many of them contain lots of retreads of familiar stories and facts, but this one was mostly new.

  2. There’s been a TV documentary on this woman, called ‘The Codebreaker’, which you might be able to find. I thought her story was absolutely amazing!

  3. I’ve been on a code breaking reading streak this year, too. First the nonfiction Code Girls, a follow up with the novel The Rose Code (enjoyed your review, BTW), and then more general WWII nonfiction. I’m adding this one to my list now – it sounds fascinating. Thanks!
