Saturday Snapshot — Muckross House in County Kerry

Muckross House is near Killarney, Ireland in a national park. We were there for the garden, so we didn’t see the inside of the house or some of the other interesting sites.

Muckross House and Gardens, greenhouse designed by Richard Turner, moved to this site in the 1980s.

Rhododendron, Muckross House and Gardens

They grow big rhododendrons in Ireland!

Your first photo is so dramatic – just the sort of setting for a mystery novel. And the huge rhododendrons are just beautiful – I wouldn’t want them in my garden though! 🙂
