Here are my favorite covers of books I read in 2014 with links to my reviews.
Not quite as dramatic of a cover as Cinder, the first in the series, but pretty and suggestive of the underlying Rapunzel story.
Another cover with some gentle visual humor.
I took a photo from about this angle when I was in London.
I helped pick and design this cover — of course, I like it!
Dramatic, Victorian, and dangerous.
I was so happy to see the tower with Big Ben on the cover of the latest Kitty book — so much fun to revisit London with her just a couple of weeks after I got home.
I just love the old-fashioned styling of this cover.

Love the two clever Ackroyd covers.
I really like the first: funny 🙂
But The London Eye Mystery makes me sick ;D (I’m a coward for this kind of thing).
wow, the Ackroyd ones are so smart and fun. I also have the book by Joyce on my list!
Newton amuses me, I like it; Cress bothers me because I want it to be called “Tress” with that image; and of course I LOVE the cover for The Occasional Diamond Thief!
Cress, I learned, is a salad green. I even grew some this summer! Rapunzel is also a green, usually called mâche in the US. I’m not sure what it’s called in Canada.
The Clockwork Universe is SO interesting looking! Thanks for linking up to #amonthoffaves- I’m SO LOVING seeing everyone’s posts!
Love the cover for Newton.
Great choices! I especially love all of the Gail Carriger covers because they mix the classic and the bold so well.
You helped design that gorgeous cover? WOW! You did an outstanding job. I love Gail’s book covers too.
