Summer Solstice #SundaySalon
Happy Sunday! Sunday Salon is hosted by Deb at ReaderBuzz. Check out her post and the links to see what other bloggers have been up to in the last week.

Are you enjoying the longest days and shortest nights in the northern hemisphere or the opposite in the southern hemisphere?
I’m celebrating the summer solstice on my blog with an exploration of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Last summer, I saw an abridged production in my local park.
A few weeks ago, I read a graphic novel version and shared it with children in my life.
For some context, I listened to the In Our Time episode that focused on this play.
To understand the play, I watched a filmed production while reading the play, scene by scene. I wrote the reviews separately:
- Julie Taymor’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream
- A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
I love that A Midsummer Night’s Dream is now part of my brain’s imagery at the summer solstice. I can imagine magical woodland scenes, summon fairies by name, and wonder at the actions of foolish mortals.
