The London of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol #TourReview #BriFri — 7 Comments

  1. What a lovely way to travel and see some amazing things in England. Loved this post! I have been absent lately but today I bring you Slow Horses with Gary Oldman, loving this series.

I tried to read The Land in Winter set in the English countryside but it was too slow for me. That said, it seems to get noticed for awards so, maybe someone else’s cup of tea.

  2. Thanks for the tour. I must do this next year. It was fun to see St. Olave’s — I visited there last year and it is a fascinating church with loads of history. It just dawned on me that at the time my second great grandparents were living in England (they migrated in 1855), Dickens was writing. It puts their lives and times in a different perspective.

  3. That book sounds totally interesting. And the tour, as well. Might have to see whether I can join (though I prefer reading to watching). Therefore, I tried to google that book but can’t find it anywhere. Can you give us a link to where you can register?
