A Midsummer Night’s Dream #TheaterReview #BriFri — 6 Comments

  1. I saw it once. One of my daughtesr attended Interlochen Arts Academy for high school. She was in the visual arts. We drove up to see the performance done by the acting students. At times it was confusing, but all became clear by the end.

  2. Those Shakespeare events are so much fun. I have been to two of them in Tallahassee and my son, then aged 10 and 11, loved the theatrics. It is especially fun sitting outside for the performances.

  3. We have seen several Shakespeare plays, unfortunately mainly in German.
I saw this once at my children’s school. My son was Francis Flute or “Thisbe”. We thought it was so much fun.
The other day, I saw another play by him, open air, “Much Ado About Nothing”. One of my favourites. I could watch that movie by Kenneth Branagh all the time.
But we also look forward to A Midsummer Nights Dream in November, part of our theater circle. Love it.

  4. Midsummer’s Night Dream is one of my absolute favorite Shakespeare plays. I’ve seen it several times at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival in Boulder, watched several of the movies (though not the Olivia de Havilland one), and went to every performance at the high school when my daughter played Helena.

Sounds like it was a great production, and they worked to make it accessible and fun.

I really liked your painting of the flower with the quotation. Very nice!
