UsefulCharts is a YouTube channel. As the name implies, it uses charts to convey information — stunningly beautiful charts to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand visuals. Matt Baker, our host, covers a huge variety of topics surrounding human culture.
Some of his videos explain British history, so I want to share my favorites.
This one, from a couple of weeks ago, illuminates the history of political parties in the UK:
This video, made shortly after Queen Elizabeth’s death, shows the changes in titles and successions that occurred in the royal family:

He also has a fun video about who would be the British king if the Jacobites won and their choice for King, Bonny Prince Charlie, secured the throne.
That’s probably enough for a fun exploration, but he mentions other videos in these, so there are plenty more to watch.
