Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I’m on track to meet my goal of 1100 minutes in August. They keep promising us cooler weather and we keep not getting it — maybe this week. The heat and humidity make it hard to want to exercise. Fortunately, we’ve got a reason to walk every day — there’s infrastructure construction going on in our neighborhood, so we have to check on the progress! Fortunately, it’s at the far corner, so that motivates us to complete our normal walk.

My upcoming half is not as motivating as I had hoped.
School starts this week, which means I’ll have a little more free time during the day, but my evenings will start to be taken up at home. Hopefully it cools down a bit.

It’s been a bit cooler here on and off, but it’s still mostly too uncomfortable to be walking etc. for any length of time.
