There are two upcoming blog events that I will be participating in. I wanted to announce them today and invite others to join me.

First up, is a program called 23 Things for Professional Development. It’s not entirely clear who is running it (although it would appear to be library people in some country where the spelling is ‘programme’), but it doesn’t matter much since they don’t care where you are or what profession you are in. It will be a 16-week, self-paced, online program exploring social media and various professional development tasks. It begins June 20 and runs to the first week in October. I’ll be doing this with a friend and using this blog for some of my tasks. If you have a blog, you can register with this form right now. If not, the first “thing” is to create a blog with which you can register on June 20.

The second thing is provided by Judith at Leeswammes’ Blog. She is running her second Literary Giveaway Blog Hop. I have a little something fun planned for this event.
