Welcome to British Isles Friday! British Isles Friday is a weekly event for sharing all things British and Irish — reviews, photos, opinions, trip reports, guides, links, resources, personal stories, interviews, and research posts. Join us each Friday to link your British and Irish themed content and to see what others have to share. The link list is at the bottom of this post. Pour a cup of tea or lift a pint and join our link party!
I suspect that I’ve neglected to write one #BriFri post in November during every year that I did NaNoWriMo. It’s hard to write blog posts on top of 50,000 words in a month.
In case you missed it, my project for National Novel Writing Month is set in the world of American codebreakers during World War II, inspired by the book Code Girls by Liza Mundy. Not much British content there, except to acknowledge the work at Bletchley Park, which I visited in 2014, the same year that The Imitation Game was released.
I’m watching the new season of The Crown on Netflix during my writing breaks. Is anyone else? I’m in episode 4. I’ve also been watching the new episodes of The Great British Baking Show as they are released. I’ll probably write a review of both of these shows when I’ve finished watching their seasons.
What British content have you been consuming recently?
