I’m way behind on my exercise minutes this month. Here are all my excuses.
The weather. We’ve had two snowstorms in recent days. We often don’t have snow that sticks until January. Twice in November is extraordinary.
Cold symptoms. I don’t think it was really a cold. I suddenly got the sneezes and sniffles at the same moment that first snowstorm rolled in. I think it disturbed the delicate equilibrium I have with my chronic sinus congestion. That’s all better now, but there were a couple of days when I had very little energy and movement made the symptoms worse. I have a lingering cough, now, which will probably also be a hindrance to exercise.
NaNoWriMo. Writing so many words leaves little time for exercise, especially if other things are conspiring to take away my motivation.
I’ve managed, at least, a bit of yoga or qi gong or stretching every day. That kind of holds the place for exercise in my life so that I’ll get back to it when conditions improve.
