Bloggiesta, Day 3

Today, I completed a mini-challenge for Bloggiesta. Labels, Categories, and Tags. Oh my! is a challenged devised by Berls of Because Reading is Better Than Real Life.

The biggest change I made was to develop a new category called “Link Parties.” That’s for all those weekly events that I used to participate in more, and hope to again, except that some no longer exist! I had each one as a category. Now, each one is a tag and all of them are under the category Link Parties.

The end result is many fewer categories which, I hope, will make my blog easier to navigate.

And, a second thanks to Berls for noticing that my share buttons were broken. I ended up installing the JetPack plug-in to use their share buttons — they’re cleaner than the gaudy ones I had before and they work! JetPack is a plug-in that I’ve been meaning to install for a long time. Now that I have, I need to figure out what else it does. Putting that on tomorrow’s Bloggiesta to-do list.

Nice job! I love that you managed to get all those posts that can be so fun, but also so scattered, neatly under 1 category! And yay for the new share buttons 🙂 They do look nicer! I need to see what all Jetpack really does too – and I’ve had it for years.. lol!

I like the term “link party” better than the old term of meme. Sounds like a great category to add.Glad you found time to participate in Bloggiesta.

Link Parties is a great category name, well done on sorting it out. The sharing buttons look good. I use Jetpack too and it has a lot of great features.
