Home in Havana #SaturdaySnapshot
After two nights and a full day in Trinidad, Cuba, we drove into Havana. Our first stop was at a private residence, a house from 1929 in the Vedado neighborhood, where many nice homes were built in the 1920s and 1930s. This one was built by a businessman and descendants of the family still live there. They keep the house standing with help from groups like ours who pay to tour the place, but, as you can see from the photos, it is in slow decline like many buildings in Cuba.

In the study
This house provided a low light challenge for photographers. For the above photos, I searched out the brightest spots in the house and found photos that would work with a wide open aperture.
Rick used the tripod for most of our time there. He was pleased with two photographs he took of the kitchen and the very colorful bathroom.

Later, he helped me set up my camera on the tripod to get this photo of the bookcases in the study. We got something of a reputation on our tour for working together on our photographs. Photography is a solo activity only if you choose to make it one!
