My New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge #NewYearBooks — 10 Comments

  1. I’m in for the read along! I hope you like A Castle in the Clouds. It was a whimsical read that I wasn’t too sure of in the beginning but then I found myself copying down a ton of stuff from various parts of the book. Not that I’ve really applied any of them but it definitely lifted my mood. I have Do More Great Work in my TBR pile, too. I want to read more productivity/motivational books in the new year. I’m finding they’re really good in terms of heling to maintain motivation.

  2. I think I should pick up A Blueprint for Your Castle in the Clouds. I’ve been in a huge spiral when it comes to negative thoughts and it’s unhealthy. I’m going to see if my library has it. Hopefully, the book can help.

    Good luck with your goals.

  3. I guess it is time to think about New Year’s Resolutions! And I really like the idea of the New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge! I actually just picked up a couple of books that would be perfect! Thanks for putting it together!

  4. I have not formalized any resolutions, but they are usually around the same issues: eating healthy, avoiding undue stress, and spending more time in the moment.

Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

  5. Joy, I have The War of Art in audio format and will be happy to listen to it again and follow along with your read along. The other books look interesting, especially The Blueprint for Your Castle…, so I will add that to my GR list. Thanks for the suggestions. I’d also like to finish my book on writing great Kid Lit this year, as well as the Elizabeth Berg book on writing that Carol Cooney got us all reading…
Good luck to you on these resolutions.

  6. All of these books sound like a great way to begin a new year!

I have read the War of Art, but could always use a refresher. I will give thought to signing up for the read-along 🙂

  7. Joy, I have been so busy tying up loose ends before year end that I haven’t even got to thinking about next year yet. Of course, fitness is going to be a priority. It’s been 3 years since my baby, need to lose the baby weight already. But apart from that I haven’t given it a thought. I love that you have given it thought and planned your reading to help support you. All the very best!
