Readers’ Workouts — November 11

Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I’m still having a hard time getting both my NaNoWriMo word count and minutes of exercise completed. My total as of last night was 360 minutes. To be on track for 1200, that would need to be 400 minutes. But, Rick has a renewed commitment and that always helps me, too. There’s a lot of month left to make it up!
Does your exercise commitment improve when you have family or friends doing it with you?

I can almost always see the results of a workout day in my Fitbit sleep log. When it’s mostly still minutes and not restless, I know I worked hard. Yesterday was my night for 2 hours in the karate studio, one of the instructors asked to be written into the novel as I was writing in the lobby.
The linkup isn’t working so I’ll post my link here. http://www.spiritblog.net/?p=7285
Thanks, Heather! I got it fixed and added your link.
It doesn’t sound like you’re too far behind your goal – and NaNoWriMo is worth the time. I’m always too much of a wuss to participate.
I’m passing on NaNo this year. My thesis program finished up last week and I knew from past years that if I don’t start strong I won’t finish, so it was better to not start.
My friend and I go to the gym together on Tuesdays. She’s my motivation for going and left to myself I’ll make a plan but won’t always follow through with going.
