  1. After practicing my kata all weekend, my instructor put me through techniques last night 🙂 I have another hour with him on Friday, which is a day off work. I think I’m getting closer to the belt test. The nice thing about the studio I train at is that you never fail a belt test (unless you get injured really early on). The down side of that is you have to be 100% ready in the eyes of your instructor to get a test date…

  2. My husband thinks I’m crazy but I bought some blue blocking glasses to wear in the evening. It’s supposed to help you sleep better, reset your Circadian rhythm or whatever. I’ve only been doing it for a couple of days so it’s hard to tell if it’s helping or not.

    Went to the gym last Thursday and did some of the weight machines, but we were out of town over the weekend. Last night I went for a run. I got a BIA watch and posted a picture on my facebook page that shows my route, time, etc. It’s kind fun to keep track.

  3. Nice job on your exercise goals! I am starting my training for a half marathon on June 30. Until then, I’m running about 4x week doing distances between 2-4 miles at a time. Trying to work on my pacing and just keep in shape until training begins. I am a little nervous but mostly very excited! The most I’ve ever done is a 15K so this is going to be a great challenge for me.
