Making Memes #ArmchairBEA — 17 Comments

    • I think part of the secret is to be happy with a small number of participants. I have yet to get 0 participants, but I sometimes get only one. Me and one other is still a conversation, so I’m happy with that.

  1. I need to figure out the Meme hosting things, including what linky I want to use since I plan to turn my Weekly TV Thoughts posts into a meme by September at the latest. Not sure if there will be enough interest before that since I don’t know how much summer TV people watch.

  2. I’ve not seen these memes before. I’ve found that I enjoy them more if I don’t feel obligated to do them every week. When I started to do them because I had something to share they became more enjoyable

  3. Right now I neither participate in memes nor host one, since I just started blogging again in April. But, I would to get more involved with some memes! A lot of them look like fun and I like reading different bloggers’ takes on the subject.

  4. I like how you’ve created and incorporated non-bookish memes into your blog. I used to do memes, but I’ve gotten away from them. I’d like to possibly do one again, if I can find one that’s still small and has a topic that I can commit to writing about every week without sounding repetitive. I like small memes best because it’s not very fun doing them when there are 100’s of participants. Not many readers and bloggers will visit that many blogs. Great post!

  5. Great post on memes. We run our own meme as well, and it was a great experience to figure out how to start that up. I haven’t used Mr. Linky, but I use inLinkz and liked it well enough.

  6. I think it’s cool that you started a few memes of your own. I haven’t dared do that yet because I’m not sure I’ll have much interest. I’d love to have one like TTT or FF, but that takes time and a lot of work, of course. 🙂 I admire you for starting your own.

  7. I host The Friday 56. It was originally hosted by Storytime with Tonya and friends, but I was voted the torch going on 3 years ago. It’s a great way to discover new books and new blogs.

  9. We have tried a couple of memes. Our own have sort of crashed and burned, but I love the Monday meme with Sheila, and Top Ten Tuesday as well. Such a great way to approach the blogging horizon topiC!
