New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge — Wednesday Link-Up, February 5
Welcome to the Wednesday link-up for the New Year’s Resolution Reading Challenge. Do you have a review or progress report on your blog? If so, add it to the link list below. If not, report your progress in the comments. This is our final link-up, so be sure to let us know how your resolutions are going.
As for my progress…
Be a Better Reader. Reading Like a Writer by Francine Prose.
Be Happier. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. See the final discussion post of our Read Along book.
Be a Better Writer. The Memoir Project by Marion Roach Smith. Link to review below.
Be More Creative. The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. Link to review below.
My 2014 is off to a good start! How about you?
I haven’t finished The War of Art yet, but I’m enjoying it. Or maybe “enjoy” isn’t quite the right word. I have been–ahem–writing! I may very well write a post re this book when I finish. I just started Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch so I must reserve comment for now–only 60 pages in.
I’m in a completely different place this year than last, and that made for a completely different challenge. I am truly grateful for the gentle nudging it provided for me to face head on things I’d rather ignore. Thank you, Joy.
Here’s wishing you all an exceptional year full of wonderful books, and challenges accepted and bested. (oh, and all the chocolate you can eat!)
One of my goals is to read a book a week so I’m on track with that. I misplaced my monthly book last month which is why I didn’t finish it before January came to a close. And I think this month’s book is not going to be finished because I am wanting to read it slowly, relishing the content rather than rushing through it. We’ll see how it goes. It’s only the 5th. I may find myself wanting to read more quickly the more I get into it. It’s happened before.
Thank you for hosting Joy! I spent Jan dealing with a family crisis so I am just getting around to listing my books for the challenge – and, due in part to circumstances, shifted the books I ended up doing for the challenge!
So, I’m glad to see that the link up is still open because life is (hopefully) starting to get back to normal…
