It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? — 7 Comments

  1. I’m reading Walden and Resistance to Civil Government which is one of my monthly read-along books. (My incomplete list is here: http://satia.blogspot.com/p/reading-along-with-me.html)

I’m also reading Online Content Marketing in 30 Minutes by Derek Slater, continuing to read The Happiness Project which, as you know, I’m reading because I thought someone I love would like it but now I think I’m reading it for someone else altogether. I’ve managed to keep up with my goal to read a book a week on top of my other reading which, last month, included editing a manuscript.

There are some other books I’m reading but I have a head cold and am not thinking clearly.

  2. It looks like you’ve got more than enough memoirs and books about England to read, but I have to mention one more. Without Reservations by Alice Steinbach. She’s an American who decides to get away from everything and sort of find herself. Which sounds like it’s been done a million times, and it has, but Steinbach is a curious person and a beautiful writer. I just liked her and found myself wishing that I knew her. She spends time in Oxford and Paris, and apparently Milan but I don’t remember that part as well. If you have time, you should at least take a look at it. Enjoy your week!

  3. I’m a wannabe England lover. Meaning I really want to go there some day and take it all in. Sounds like a hefty read but hopefully well worth it!

The Happiness Project has been on my shelf for a year now. I need to get to it. But I’m really enjoying The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathon Haidt right now and look forward to The Happiness Project soon. I’m glad it was a great read for you 🙂
