Readers’ Workouts — October 29
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts where readers prove we can move. Join us each Tuesday to share your exercise stories and find companions for the fitness journey.
Yesterday was my 101st day in a row of exercise. I reached 100 days on Sunday and don’t see any reason to stop my streak now. Consistent daily exercise is making it easier to meet my goal of 1400 minutes of exercise a month (I’m ahead of schedule to complete that for October) and it encourages more variety, just so I don’t get bored.
How has your October exercise gone?

I think my calf strain/ligament pull is about 90% better, and I’m starting to not favour my right side quite so much in sparring. The interesting thing about my fitness this month is I’ve been wearing my company-issue fitbit and letting that report to Sparkpeople.com for me. I love the sleep tracking side of the fitbit and it gives me credit for marching out at lunchtime to forage for food.
The fitbit sounds great — and motivating!
Still dealing with a hurt finger. Taking it out of the splint for a little today. I used a new yoga DVD this morning, took Snowdoll for a walk, so trying to stay active in spite of my injury. 🙂
That’s good activity! Stretches and walks will keep everything else functioning while your finger heals.
Congratulations on 101 days, quite an accomplishment.
My plans for a 200 mile month were put the side early… with two family emergencies taking top priority. I’m left adjusting into a new mode, not striving to mileage goals the rest of the year. Time to read and focus on a few other hobbies.
Have a great week!
Family stuff hit me from all sides the last few weeks so I haven’t been doing well fitness wise. Seems lately that it’s one thing after another. Maybe I’ll post about it in a few weeks when I get back to my routing and join back in on these posts.
Take care of yourself!
