Paris in July — wrap-up + Paris in August
Today is the last day of July and, therefore, the last day of Paris in July, hosted by Thyme for Tea and Bookbath. I thought I’d make another post of links to my France posts since they are getting difficult to find. Our trip to France was in late May and early June. Since we got home, I’ve been posting photos two or three times a week as well as writing some book reviews.
On July 1, I wrote a link post like this one: Paris in July.
It took two posts to display all the photos of my favorite garden that we visited in France: Chateau de Valmer and Chateau de Valmer, the Potager.
The next day we visited the gardens at La Chatonnière.
Villandry is another garden that I covered in two posts, including a lovely potager: Villandry, France and Villandry, France (part deux).
Our last day in the French countryside began with a visit to the Saint-Cosme Priory, France, continued with the beautiful English-style garden of Jardin du Plessis Sasnières, and ended with our first night in Paris!
Our first full day in Paris was also the last full day of our tour. We had amazing access to backstage areas of the Jardin des Plantes and felt like honored guests at a lovely reception in the Rotunda, which inspired me to read a book about its most famous resident, the first giraffe in France: Book Review: Zarafa by Michael Allin with photos of the Rotunda.

We spent four days on our own in Paris, so I still have more photos to come. I’ll mostly post them on Saturdays and Mondays for the next few weeks.
