Readers’ Workouts — April 16
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where we share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges. Join us each Tuesday!
We’re halfway through April and I exercised more than 700 minutes, halfway toward my goal of 1400 minutes. Always good when that happens! Partly that was thanks to a lovely weather day on Sunday that I could spend lifting, hauling, and spreading compost on my vegetable garden.
This week I have plans to work more variety into my workouts with some strength training, stretching, and a HIIT workout on the treadmill.
How was your exercise in the past week? What do you have planned for the coming week? Answer on your blog (feel free to grab the logo) and link to your post below or join us in the comments! Be sure to visit the other participants to see how we all did.
Last week was my first time in a Friday karate group class in months, and I was definitely feeling it all weekend. Planning to stick with the 3.5 hours a week (2 group classes, 1 sparring class and my private lesson). I have about 15 pounds I’d like to shed, and it’s the difficult final 15.
That sounds like an excellent plan. I love how classes make it easier to achieve consistency.
I’ve got back into running since my cold… ooof. I feel so tired but seeing improvements.
Just checking in 🙂
Sounds like you are doing well with your fitness. Isn’t it just lovely being outside? I need to water my garden.. I forgot to do this today.
I’m going to focus on strength training and stretching too!
I’m going to up my weights and see how sore I can make myself!!
I always admire how much exercising you get done. I’ve been taking daily walks with various family members and even tried to learn how to skateboard yesterday. 🙂 That counts as exercising, right?
