It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? — 9 Comments

  1. I totally agree with you about Home Ec. It was a boring class but there are so many things that people aren’t going to learn- basic things to take care of themselves.

I should get that Chanel book. Sounds interesting!

  2. You had me at “Chanel” 🙂 I read the sample of this book and I really want to get my hands on a physical copy of it.
    Goodluck with your reading xx

  3. I have a couple of creativity books on my current reading stack, “Drawing on the right side of the brain” by Ruth Edwards, and “The Creativity Habit” by Twyla Tharp.

I picked up an eBook, “Terms of Enlistment” by Marko Kloos, on the recommendation of Chuck Wendig’s blog, and I’m really liking it.

During my Home Ec class, I learned just how boring it was to watch real paint dry. I learned to cook at university, where it was cook on a very limited budget or die.

    • I loved Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. I’ve picked up The Creativity Habit a couple of times and it looks good but I’ve yet to read it.

  4. I have to agree with you when it comes to Home Ec. I managed to avoid it when I was in high school but there’s so much that kids need to know. I’ve started reading P.S. Be Eleven by Rita Williams-Garcia. It’s a middle grade book. For some reason, I love this genre. Next up is probably an ARC or two.
