Spundge — An Exploration of a New Tool — 4 Comments

  1. Thanks for the overview of this tool. I have also been thinking about this question of feed readers (I have google reader set up but have never developed a habit of using it). I have blogrolls set up on my blogs (a book one, a craft one, and some official work-related ones) with the posts sorted by most recently updated and find that I keep up best with other blogs by going to my own site (which I do anyway) and reading from there based on the titles that intrigue me. I have LOTS of blogs in the blogroll, but only display 5 at a time–the 5 that posted most recently. It is one click to expand the list and see everything though. I think this model will be my plan for the time being at least.

  2. Thanks for writing this post. I too have been trying to work out what I’m going to do when Google Reader is no more. It is part of my daily routine and, to be honest, I think I’m going to miss it. I’ve just had a look at Bloglovin – I agree it might be a good alternative.

  3. Thanks for this post! I signed up for bloglovin after you wrote about it a few weeks ago but it doesn’t let you read the entire post. I’m not sure how helpful this is… I’m doing what you do, clicking on blogs I enjoy or when people comment.

    Do you like bloglovin?

    • I haven’t played that much with it, but I’ll have the same problem you did. Someone said that Feedly was good, so that may be might the ticket.
