Through a Visitor’s Eyes — Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge
Through a Visitor’s Eyes mini-challenge hosted by Amanda at On a Book Bender is the first mini-challenge I took on for this Bloggiesta. I did the following:
Reviewed my About page. I updated it during the fall Bloggiesta, so I just made a couple of wording tweaks.
Made a Contact page. This was already on my Bloggiesta To Do list, so now I get to cross another thing off.
Considered making a full reviews archive. It’s always seemed like an awful lot of work. I made a Health Books archive a few months ago to highlight the works that are somewhat unique to my blog, but I’m not sure whether I want an archive of all of my reviews.
Tested commenting on my own site. It worked great for me. I would love to hear if anyone else has problems with comments on my blog.
Re-considered making a full reviews archive. I know it’s easy to find stuff on my blog with the search bar because I do it all the time, but I don’t have to ask a friend to tell me if it would be hard to find things for someone who prefers just clicking around.
Added “make a reviews archive page” to my Bloggiesta list. All right, you talked me into it.
Tested my links. They work!
Thanks, Amanda! This was an excellent mini-challenge to do on the first day of Bloggiesta since it touches on many of the basics that I need to revisit every few months.
I’m glad this challenge was a success for you, Joy! And it makes me happy to see that you decided to do a review archive page. It’ll be great to have all your reviews in one spot and easy to refer to. 🙂
I only did part one of this challenge myself so far. Minus the about page that I thought I didn’t need. Bloggiesta chat convinced me otherwise. I have a draft on paper and might add one tomorrow on both blogs. Having some doubts though what to include.
I just realized when I was doing this challenge my Search sucks! AGGH! I might add that to the next bloggiest to do list.
