  2. This one sounds like is has some sane advice. Especially about setting realistic goals. We really can’t expect to weigh what we did when were 18. Support is also a big thing.

  4. Lots of good common sense information there — that’s a very good point about having to re-evaluate strategies. Our bodies change all the time (especially in middle age and up), and there are lots of other factors that come into the picture. It’s a LOT of work to maintain a healthy weight and cook foods that are right for each individual (also factoring in food allergies, etc.).

  5. This author has several books on this theme, I have book marked her and will be checking further. Thanks for introducing her to me. her approach at looking at people who succeeded makes sense. I know what doesn’t work for me, now i need to keep with the process and find what will work and what I can live with.

  6. When I was on weight watchers they stressed realistic goals, you sure have to keep it real! Wow, you have really done so well with weight loss and maintaining a healthy life style, I am impressed. Great review!

  7. Very interesting! Keeping it off is the hardest part. I did very well with that until last year when I had a thyroid operation and am blaming part of my weight gain since then on a still existing imbalance.

  8. You’re doing great with your reviews and challenges! Enjoyed reading about this book. It does seem to be true that maintaining weight after a dramatic weight loss is very difficult.
