Book Review: The Hundred Year Diet by Susan Yager — 8 Comments

  1. I’m with you Joy – I lost over 30 pounds eating everything I liked – but just smaller portions! It was easy and maintainable.

I have linked in Coronation Chicken to Beth Fish Reads – a dish with a dash of history.

    Have a super week.

  2. Yep. What Caite said. Truly it’s all about calories / calories out. And no one is going to stick with a deprivation diet for the rest of her life. Sounds like a good read.

  3. Well, you’re a better person than I – I can’t stand to read diet books. This one does sound interesting from a historical perspective, though – I’d love to read more about the early 20th century. Thanks for sharing!

  4. We definitely need more books like this one. For every person that understands that dieting is not the solution, but rather a change in eating patterns, there is unfortunately someone who believes in crash dieting (i.e. the jo-jo effect).
