Saturday Snapshots — Ireland Edition
This is my first post for Saturday Snapshot hosted by Alyce of At Home with Books. I’ve been doing Wordless Wednesday (Wordless Wednesday — Ireland Edition and Wordless Wednesday — Ireland Edition 2), but it’s going to take forever to get my Ireland photos processed if I only work on them once a week.
Today’s photos are from Helen Dillon’s garden. She’s the author of many books, including one I reviewed this month: Book Review: Garden Artistry by Helen Dillon. Of all the gardens we visited in Ireland, this one gave us the most ideas we could use at home because, really, it’s the garden of a suburban house, albeit a bit older and grander than most of us have in the US.

This wall was the edge of the deck. We really liked the modern style and how well it fit with the older features of the house and garden

Spiral rock design in pot -- what a great use for a pot and the stones we always seem to be finding in our garden.
I took photos of a number of other ideas we might use in our yard. Check them out on flickr: Joy’s Photostream.
I love visiting places that were important to my favorite authors! And this looks like a beautiful garden besides.
I like the creativity of using the stones in the pot. I like things like that which are simple to upkeep. 🙂
Love that you shared these Ireland photos with us. Enjoyed them a lot
I mean to visit Ireland some day. Thanks for sharing your pix!
Photos convey so much character in so little space. Thank you for sharing these photos, Joy! Most likely, I will not be visiting Ireland in the near future, but it is lovely to look at in photography. The gardens and rocks are beautiful.
I can see why you enjoyed that garden, it looks great.
