BEA / Book Blogger Convention Question

This will be my first time to BookExpo America and the Book Blogger Convention. Yesterday I went back through posts about BEA that I bookmarked to revisit. I signed up for and subscribed to the Book Blogger feed at Miss Remmers’ Review. I determined that my normal librarian professional attire will work well (right down to the comfortable shoes!).

Here is a question for you more experienced types. I keep seeing advice to go look at the BEA website, particularly the publisher sites. Why? What am I looking for there? I don’t pay much attention to publishers by name. How do I start to re-orient my inner world of books by genres and titles into publishers? Thanks for any insights!

BEA is such a crowd-filled and fast-paced event. I imagine that the point in that message is that you should make a game plan. Research what books and authors are going to be there that you are most interested in and be sure that you map out where they will be and when so that you aren’t rushing around or missing out.
